A yoga community for ALL

Soulga Yoga is a Toronto based yoga community that promotes belongingness for ALL in wellness spaces. Their intention is to support, empower, and highlight movement facilitators of colour in the GTA.

When I saw that Nya was looking for someone to help brand Soulga Yoga, it got my attention as she is engaging in the work of dismantling the exclusivity of Toronto’s wellness community. Prior to working together, Soulga didn’t have a visual identity, they had a beautiful illustration of a BIPOC woman practicing . We created a colour palette using brown as one of the primary colours as representation really matters to Nya and we wanted to showcase this in the creation of the brand. Yellow and purple were a result of Nya creating a social media post last year and we loved it so much we decided to use variations of the colours for the brand!
